Log Cabin Quilt

The second quilting class I took was a log cabin class, a classic quilt square that's easy to make using strips. We worked from the Quilt In A Day book. I decided to make it for my grandfather, and picked out what I thought were masculine colors, green and tan with gold for the center square since his last name is Gold. Two very nice ladies I didn't know helped me choose the fabric at the store. Quilters are great -- they love their hobby so much they'll stop their own shopping to help a beginner choose fabric! I gave Gramps the lap quilt in May 2002.
